Awarded once again for excellent creditworthiness

HEDELIUS Maschinenfabrik GmbH receives CrefoZert

Maschinenfabrik GmbH from Meppen. Since December 2016, the Emsland-based mechanical engineering company has been awarded the CrefoZert credit rating certificate by Creditreform Leer. In 2019, the family-owned company once again received the award, which is valid for one year.

"The CrefoZert creditworthiness certificate from Creditreform confirms the financial reliability and viability of the certified company to customers, suppliers and employees by an independent third party," says Ingo Meyer, Certified Business Analyst at Creditreform Leer.

A professional analysis of the annual financial statements and data from the current credit report are used for the certification. The company was also assessed in a personal survey on HEDELIUS' current situation and future prospects. The creditworthiness index shows how well the medium-sized company scored: the index can be between 100 and 600, and companies can only be certified up to 249. The North German mechanical engineering company achieved a top score of 109 points.

This means that HEDELIUS Maschinenfabrik GmbH remains one of the 1.7 % of economically relevant companies in Germany that fulfil the demanding criteria. In terms of the total of all companies, only 0.5 % of them are certifiable according to purely quantitative criteria.

"2019 was a very successful year for us, despite a difficult economic environment. Our sustainable actions and the future-oriented focus of our company are confirmed by the renewed certification," comments HEDELIUS Managing Director Dennis Hempelmann on the excellent result.

In manufacturing companies that mainly produce small batch sizes, every minute of spindle time counts - or so the theory goes. In practice, however, the proportion of productive spindle time compared to working time is often less than 40 per cent. The search for tools, clamping devices and information, as well as set-up, tie up valuable resources and leave many operating companies far behind their potential. There are many ways to sustainably close flexibility - and thus performance - in production. But every manufacturing company is different. The trick is therefore to find your very own recipe for success.

Advancing automation has long since arrived in mechanical engineering and contract manufacturing - but many companies still face challenges, especially when it comes to small batch sizes. While large-scale production is already largely automated today, flexibility in smaller quantities, which are often the order of the day in contract manufacturing, poses a particular challenge. How can automation be made to pay off here too without presenting machine operators with insurmountable hurdles?
