Multi-pallet magazine system MARATHON RZ430

With up to 34 pallets, the MARATHON RZ430 multi-pallet magazine is ideal when single parts need to be produced as repeat parts or small to medium series. Pallet handling is performed by a 6-axis YASKAWA robot with a load capacity of 88 or optionally 110 kg. Two pull-out storage/retrieval stations guarantee maximum productivity even with short program runtimes. The highlight is the MultibatchOS pallet and order management system with an 18.5" widescreen touch display. The automation system is perfectly open to the ACURA 50 and ACURA 65 5-axis machining centres.

HEDELIUS focusses on the user. This is why the MARATHON automation systems have been equipped with many technical details, such as the standard rotating set-up station or the pneumatic locking of the pallet on the set-up station for convenient clamping of workpieces.

Two pull-out storage/retrieval stations guarantee maximum productivity, even with short program runtimes. The pallets are pneumatically locked in place on the Loading station, which makes clamping easier for the operator.

A well-rehearsed team.

The automation system is perfectly open to the ACURA 50 and ACURA 65 5-axis machining centres. Connected in a linear interlinking system, the robot cell can load up to two machining centres.

Simple operating.

The MultibatchOS pallet and order management system with an 18.5" widescreen touch display offers user-friendly and intuitive operating. Robot programming skills are not required.

More flexibility with a hybrid solution.

You can choose whether you want to use the robot cell exclusively for handling pallets or expand the automation solution to include product drawers. The robot arm can load the machining centre with pallets as well as workpieces.

The 400 x 400 x 38 mm pallets (20 kg) are made of hard anodised aluminium and can hold a clamping weight of up to 90 kg. A maximum transfer weight of 110 kg is achieved for the MARATHON RZ430.

The chip press separates the chips from the cooling lubricants and compresses them into clean, manageable briquettes. For example, 300 litres of chips can be compressed into a few dozen briquettes. This corresponds to a volume reduction of approx. 80 %.
